Connecticut Attack has been proud to support Africa Outreach USA, an Indianapolis based non-profit empowering underserved girls and boys of Zimbabwe through the transformational experiences of youth sports. The late legendary Dr Jack Ramsay championed their cause, contributing time and resources to create basketball courts and equip kids with the tools and relationships to learn the game and better their lives through faith, values and education. Inspired by the mission and the remarkable contributions of Dr Jack, his son Chris Ramsay, Gus Chikamba, and others, we were honored to take collections, accept donations, and contribute to this great cause. - CONNECTICUT ATTACK

No matter what we say about Jack Ramsay today, it will seem inadequate. It won't be enough. He led such a great life. He did so many great things. He was a great man, a giver. In his public life, he was famous, a Hall of Famer, a world champion. He had colorful friends named Cotton and Hubie and Halberstam and Talese. He traveled the world teaching, coaching and broadcasting. He brought Wilt Chamberlain home for dinner. - ESPN.COM
Growing up in Beatrice, a small town in Zimbabwe & seeing a basketball for the first time in middle school at age 14 did not deter Gus Chikamba from developing love & an undying passion for the game. Unbeknown to Gus, this would mark the beginning of a life changing journey to a place where his life & that of Dr Jack Ramsay, (a well accomplished, successful, smart, kindhearted, and yet so humble & approachable NBA Hall of Famer) would cross paths. - AFRICA OUTREACH USA
The Chikambas wanted to make a difference in their home country and saw a window of opportunity to use sport as motivation. They wondered if sport could be used as a behavior modification tool, too, to help keep kids away from drugs and alcohol, fight the gender imbalance often seen in the country, and encourage kids to stay in school. And most importantly, they wanted to use sport as a chance to educate kids about HIV and AIDS, an ongoing problem in Africa. - UINDY PORTICO MAGAZINE
