The cornerstone to permanent poverty alleviation and long term prosperity for under privileged children is education. Our primary focus is to encourage children to remain in school, recognize their full potential and realize their dream. Education empowerment presents an opportunity to develop & train the next generation of leaders and create a community of great value.

Rural Schools Partnership Program

Rural communities in African countries experience the most severe hardships in terms of availability of basic education resources. Morale among rural school children is often at its lowest due to limited sporting disciplines, long walking distances to school barefoot, and socio-economic challenges. While we cannot solve every problem children experience, our goal is to restore hope to the "forgotten children" and give them a gift of education that potentially helps them see beyond their day to day challenges. The advantages associated with rolling out a youth sports program at schools level include: schools complement our strong emphasis on education as a way out of poverty, the organized nature of our sports program, they provide a fun & safe environment for children to learn and enjoy sport, there is maximum program participation, and they provide accountability for the sports gear we donate. Above all, children are able to derive and translate the positive values of sport into academic performance & lifetime tools.

Alignment With Educators

The success and sustainability of our program hinges upon building lasting relationships with schools. Educators are the most accessible certified mentors and support systems for children. Incorporating local educators into the youth sports program as volunteer coaches, officials, match commissioners & directors provides children with unique mentors that they can depend on for support with a strong layer of security. Educators are one of the most important pillars of any community that command a significant level of authority needed to spearhead youth empowerment programs to foster sustainability, longevity & positive outcomes. In addition, educators are a trained & certified resource that is endorsed by the local government for compliance & legalities. A fun & safe educational environment sets the stage for sound learning and application.

Community Development

In a rural environment where resources are limited, schools become a strong sphere of influence for long term community development. The organization's strategic approach to initiate developmental projects at rural school level is translating into a nucleus for wide spread community development projects. There is a sense of urgency from community leadership to mirror sports programs taking shape at school level. The positive values associated with sport are taking center stage as a game changer both in academic performance and community development as parents see their children compete in a variety of sporting activities.

The Jack Ramsay Academic Awards Program

This program is the academic strategic arm of the sports program. The objective is to entice children to compete & dominate in their education. At the end of each year, the organization gives an academic award to the top three students in each class & the top student in the entire district. Awards are a token of accomplishment that continue to inspire children to work hard in school.

Tuition Assistance Scholarship Program, (TASP)

In pursuit of education empowerment we seek to provide tuition assistance to children particulary girls that excel in sport & demonstrate sound academic proficiency. This is achieved by working with families and individuals that would like to provide that level of tuition assistance. Our goal is to develop a program alumni that someday will likewise give back to the community. Tuition costs start from $150.00/child a year for most rural schools.

Earn The Grade & Get To Play

In an education system where teachers heavily rely on punishing children to get good grades, one of our goals is to promote our program as an alternative to entice kids to excel in their academics. By using the positive values associated with sport methodologies, educators now can encourage children in their classrooms to earn good grades and earn a place on the team. More teachers are migrating towards tying grades to sports access thanks to the consortium of sports disciplines we introduced, (soccer, basketball and volleyball).

Closing The Technology Gap

We strive to normalize science & technology as a path for young boys & girls in under served communities to pursue. Getting children, girls in particular to become inquisitive about science & math sets the stage for the next generation of leaders. This program involves collecting & supplying gently used egaming consoles like the Xbox 360, promoting coding classes & robotics resources to rural schools.

Social Outlet

The sports based approach we deploy serves as a coping mechanism for children to forget about their social challenges & refocus on the most important resource, education. Overcoming the day to day social challenges requires a social outlet to relieve children of the stress & trauma that they may be experiencing. For that reason, our sports program captivates childrens' minds, boosts morale, makes them look forward to attending & staying in school.

Social Skills Development

Our program capitalizes on the co-relationship between sport & lifetime skills. Research shows that children that are exposed to sporting activities early in their childhood generally have the tendency to command better communication/ negotiating skills and are more assertive than their counterparts. Our goal is to use sport to transform children into morally, intellectually & academically well rounded individuals.
