Communities must be encouraged to make substantial non-monetary contributions towards developmental projects. The skin in the game approach allows communities to spearhead 80% of community development initiatives while the remaining 20 % comes in the form of support. This approach allows communities to unlock their potential and take ownership of projects that help their communities long term
